Today was a pretty productive day. We started getting our laboratory set up a bit more in the morning. After that, we went to do our "food pull." Basically, we went shopping to get food for when we are out in the field and not in town for lunch/dinner. We got a lot of juice boxes, candy bars, coffee, tea, chips, cookies...you name it we grabbed it!
Next it was off to get our Jiffy Drill so we can drill holes in the ice and catch us some fish!
I did the "Insanity" workout again today as well! Oh boy! I was sore from Saturday when I got to the workout. I have a feeling that being sore will be a perpetual state of being from now on!
Finally, I took a few pictures of one of the last "sunsets" that we will have here in McMurdo. It isn't even really a sunset anymore. It doesn't get fully dark. The sun just kind of dips behind the Royal Society mountain range for a few hours, leaving the town in a kind of "dusk" like feel. Then it starts to "rise" again. Here are a few pictures from 10 pm. It was another amazing day!
