Today was a really fun day. We finally took our Pisten Bully out for a long drive. We drove out to Cape Evans wall, which took almost two hours to get to. Brad and I took some of the helo techs (Nick and Nora) from town out with us today. Nick and I had some snacks during the long drive.
We didn't catch much today either, but I was happy that Nick was able to at least catch one fish. Here are some action shots of Nick reeling in his trophy!
The area that we were fishing at today is one of the most beautiful places to fish. I just had to get some pictures of the glacier coming off of the land onto the sea ice. Also, our Pisten Bully and fish hut have a very cool stark contrast against the brilliant white and blue of the sea ice, ice bergs, glaciers and sky.
I drove the Pisten Bully home which is a much more comfortable ride than sitting in the back...hence my big grin!
And finally, even though it isn't always fun to work late in the lab, it is pretty awesome to look out of your window at 10 pm and see this kind of scenery. It always makes for a great day.
